About the Team

The Employee Success Team is currently seeking an Employee Success Specialist for our manufacturing plant in Port Orchard, WA. The Employee Success team consists of an Employee Success Manager and Coordinators, working together and with other departments on all matters related to human resources. The team supports employees and leaders by fostering a positive workplace experience.

 

About the Role

The Employee Success Specialist will work directly with the Employee Success Manager to maintain and enhance the organization’s human resources functions. This role will be focused on company-wide recruiting and supporting strategic HR initiatives in our Port Orchard facility. The Employee Success Specialist will be the on-site contact person for the team members in this rapidly growing facility.


What You Will Do

  • Lead the recruiting function for the organization, working to fill open positions quickly
  • Hold initial kick-off meetings with hiring managers to discuss and agree on role expectations and candidate selection criteria, in conjunction with the Employee Success Manager
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process, providing timely communication, interview confirmations, and logistical details
  • Administer new hire processes, including preparation and sending of offer letters, completion of onboarding documentation through the HRIS
  • Conduct new hire orientations for production team members, looping in appropriate personnel for safety, and ensuring a smooth and welcoming employee experience
  • You will be the main contact for employee matters, so you’ll need to quickly build and foster strong relationships with employees, ensuring clear channels for questions, concerns, and escalation
  • Model and reinforce company values through consistent employee interactions
  • Support and guide leaders on best practices for workplace investigations, documentation, and compliance
  • Provide timely information to Employee Success Manager regarding workplace injuries, grievances, or other time-sensitive information
  • Answer basic questions about benefits, including medical, dental, vision and retirement plan
  • Assist Employee Success Manager with annual audits, including ERISA, general liability, and workers compensation
  • Assist Production Manager with timecard review and approval process, ensuring accuracy for attendance reporting
  • Coordinate in-office events, including ordering lunch or treats as needed
  • Other project support as needed


What You Will Need

  • Proven track record of success as an HR Generalist, Recruiter, or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws for WA state and Kitsap County
  • Working knowledge of the workers compensation claims process with L&I
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to problem-solve and actively address issues in a professional and effective manner
  • Demonstrated discretion while practicing a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems like Rippling, a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint)
  • Manufacturing or construction background preferred
  • Customer-centric business philosophy and team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on tenure, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer.  Work may require the individual to enter plant areas where performance factors such as heat, noise, dust, lifting of materials, and working around equipment will be encountered.
