About the role

The Senior Accountant supports the Finance department with month-end close, outsourced CFO activities for our member offices, facilitating tax preparation and planning with outside tax firm, developing and maintaining scalable accounting and business processes, transactional accounting, and other key finance and accounting responsibilities.   

What you'll do

  • Participate in month-end close process across operating and affiliate entities, including reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and financial statement preparation. 
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting policies, maintaining strong internal controls and addressing discrepancies or irregularities. 
  • Develop, prepare, and maintain financial statement and reporting frameworks for outsourced CFO services under Triad Track.  Partner with member offices to provide financial guidance, best practices, and recommendations on accounting processes, systems, and technology solutions. 
  • Evaluate existing financial and operational processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, and scalability, and lead implementation of improvements. 
  • Assist as the liaison with external tax advisors, facilitating communication, responding to inquiries, and ensuring timely and accurate filings.  Coordinate the collection, organization, and validation of financial documents required by external accounting firms for tax planning and preparation. 
  • Respond to financial inquiries from executive leadership, providing clear analysis and actionable insights; collaborate with Financial Planning & Analysis team to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. 
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis, reporting, and project support as needed to drive business initiatives and leadership priorities. 
  • Oversee company expense processes, including credit card management, expense reimbursements, and policy compliance, ensuring timely and accurate processing. 
  • Manage occasional treasury-related activities such as execution of ACH and wire transactions. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. 
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate accounting environment, financial reporting, or related roles. 
  • Preference to candidates who hold or plan to obtain CPA certification 
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and experience applying accounting principles in a multi-entity environment 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Demonstrated experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation. 
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with leadership and external partners. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment 
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism
