Role Summary

The Lead Engineer/Ops Supervisor is responsible for providing regional engineering support for the network of 3 manufacturing locations across Louisiana and Texas, while overseeing the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of manufacturing processes at the Baytown, Texas, site. The Lead Engineer/Ops Supervisor helps facilitate optimal production performance while maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance, quality and cost effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive safe and reliable plant operations, ensuring full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Process Optimization, Defect Elimination, or Root Cause Analysis to drive KPIs.

• Act as primary operations contact for audits, inspections, and regulatory agency visits.
• Oversee capital improvement projects, process optimization initiatives, and maintenance programs to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Provide day-to-day supervision of all plant personnel and partner with functional teams across the network.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), preventative maintenance schedules, and engineering documentation.
• Collaborate with corporate leadership on strategic planning, budget management, staffing, and production forecasting.
• Oversee training and development of plant employees to foster a high-performing, safety-oriented workforce.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a chemical plant operations or engineering
• Proficiency in CMMS, process control systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in capital project installation and coordination

• Root Cause Analysis experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering or related technical field required
