Our 75+ strong team in El Dorado Hills is seeking a Hospital Administrator to oversee operations, drive culture, and help shape the future of our hospital. With Primary Care and 24/7 Emergency Services, all under one roof, this is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader who wants to make a real impact.

 

About the Hospital

  • Team size: 75+ team members, including 10–12 DVMs, RVTs, CSRs, and Assistants
  • Services: Primary Care, 24/7 Emergency & Urgent Care, advanced surgeries, dentistry, laser therapy, acupuncture, rehabilitation therapies, and community blood donor program
  • Facilities: 2 surgical suites, dental suite with 2 x-ray units, ultrasound, water treadmill, ligature, incubator, stance analyzer, laser, and more
  • Leadership team: 2 Clinical Directors + 2 Hospital Managers providing strong peer support
  • Culture: Fun, compassionate, and client-focused. We’re rebuilding post-acquisition and leadership changes, creating an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys leading transformation

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Serve as the hospital’s operational executive, translating strategy into daily execution
  • Lead complex staffing models, multi-department workflows, and high-volume operations
  • Partner with the Clinical Director and Operations Leadership to set annual priorities
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

Financial & Business Management

  • Own full P&L performance for the hospital
  • Drive revenue growth, cost management, forecasting, and labor optimization
  • Lead inventory management, vendor partnerships, contract oversight, and capital planning
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through KPI analysis and performance reviews

People Leadership & Development

  • Oversee development of all hospital teams, including DVMs in partnership with the Clinical Director
  • Build a strong talent pipeline through hiring, coaching, and succession planning
  • Drive accountability through clear expectations, performance management, and real-time feedback
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, psychological safety, and service excellence

Client & Community Engagement

  • Ensure an exceptional client experience across all touchpoints
  • Implement initiatives that elevate client satisfaction and retention
  • Represent the hospital within the local community and referral networks

Change Leadership & Innovation

  • Introduce systems, workflows, and technologies that enhance efficiency
  • Champion process improvements and organizational initiatives
  • Support integration of new medical offerings, service models, and hospital programs


What We’re Looking For

  • Significant leadership experience in healthcare, veterinary medicine, practice management, or related industries
  • Proven ability to lead large, diverse teams in high-volume environments
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including P&L ownership
  • A people-centric leader who values communication, collaboration, and accountability
  • Track record of leading change, building culture, and stabilizing operations
  • Excellent judgment, resilience, and ability to solve complex problems
