About the Role:


As a UX Researcher at Phaedon, you’ll be part of a team committed to providing best-in-class experiences for our client who supports healthcare professionals through high-performing digital, data, and automation solutions. Our client’s mission is to streamline provider interactions for their vast network of active clinicians, practice administrators, and executives.  This role is focused on managing UX research projects in close collaboration with our client’s team.

Location:

We are open to fully remote candidates for this position.  Note that remote employees may occasionally be asked to travel to our Minneapolis HQ for company events.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of UX research projects in collaboration with the client team
  • Contribute to the development of the operating model for the UX research practice within the business unit
  • Champion design thinking and human-centered design practices
  • Analyze research data leveraging a variety of methods to reveal trends and insights that will inform product decisions
  • Develop and conduct qualitative and quantitative research studies, including user interviews, surveys, usability tests, and ethnographic research
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to integrate research findings into the product development process


Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree or certification from a UX-related program (Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Technology or related discipline)
  • 5+ years of professional experience conducting user experience and usability studies that have informed successful product designs
  • Demonstrated experience leading qualitative research projects from discovery to delivery, translating the needs of designers, product managers, marketers and other research disciplines into effective, actionable project deliverables for external clients
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical and problems solving skills with an ability to distill complex data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Experience using Human Centered Design and UXD processes to develop a research plan that guides application design. 
  • Experience conducting research to support products at various stages of maturity, from innovation efforts to retiring legacy systems
  • Familiarity with NPS and Voice of the Customer research
  • Proven to be fundamentally open-minded, compassionate, and curious

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to identify and control for assumptions, biases, and ethical decisions in research
  • Proven ability to visualize concepts, relationships, and processes; create low-fidelity mock-ups, storyboards, and prototypes Proven ability to work in a self-directed fashion in the face of ambiguity; solid time management, prioritization, and delegation sensibilities
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate across a matrixed multi-tiered organization and deliver the best possible outcomes
  • Familiarity with tools like Dovetail, Figma, FigJam, dscout, Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey and Mural  
  • Knowledge of the healthcare payer or provider space

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is estimated to be: $90,000 - $130,000 per year

There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
