Business Operations Specialist
Work Truck Solutions is the operating system for the commercial vehicle industry. While the retail auto market is saturated with software, the $130B+ commercial truck market was operating in the dark—until we turned on the lights.
We are the only platform that connects the entire ecosystem: OEMs, upfitters, dealerships, and fleet buyers. By digitizing complex inventory data (chassis + upfits) and streamlining the supply chain, we don’t just help dealers sell trucks; we ensure American businesses get the mission-critical vehicles they need to work. We are a team of innovators, disruptors, and problem-solvers dedicated to one mission: removing the friction from the commercial vehicle industry. We are profitable, growing, and aggressively scaling our technology to remain the undisputed authority in this space.
The Opportunity
Work Truck Solutions is growing, organically and through acquisition, and our operations have to keep pace. We are hiring a Business Operations Specialist to work directly with our VP of Operations as his eyes and ears on the day-to-day across the entire org, with a regular presence at our Arcadium team’s office in Hurst, Texas.
This is not an administrative support role. There are people who can run a process, people who can find and fix a broken one, and people who can spot the problem nobody has named yet. This job requires all three. You will own recurring operational work end to end, act as the VP of Operations’ proxy on day-to-day matters, and pick up what falls between teams, often while influencing people who do not report to you.
You will spend your time where the operational need is greatest. Right now that includes continuing to bring our acquired teams fully into the Work Truck Solutions way of operating, much of which is already in motion. As the company grows, the mix changes and the role grows with it.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-day operations
• Be the VP of Operations’ first line on day-to-day operational matters across the company.
• Serve as the first point of contact for routine operational escalations. Resolve what you can, route what you can’t, and escalate with a recommendation rather than a question.
• Coordinate across sales, support, onboarding, customer success, and finance on issues that cross team lines.
• Find the work that has no owner. Then either own it or find an owner.
• Manage vendor, facilities, and administrative matters.
Contract operations
• Coordinate customer and partner contract redlines, keep agreements moving to full execution, and own the contract repository and renewal calendar.
• Own our Salesforce-based contract management tooling, including leading its next major overhaul.
• Audit what we have contracted against what we have delivered and billed, and drive variances to correction.
Programs and readiness
• Own tracking, cadence, and status reporting for cross-functional initiatives
• Take over testing and maintenance of our Business Continuity Plan
• Document the processes that currently live in people’s heads, and fix the ones that keep generating the same questions.
Qualifications
• 5+ years in business operations, sales operations, program management, or a generalist operations role, ideally in an environment that you had to do a bit of everything.
• A track record of owning recurring processes end to end, not just participating in projects. You have been the person who closed the loop.
• Experience with contract administration or commercial document workflows.
• Hands-on Salesforce experience, strong Excel skills, and comfort working with imperfect data spread across systems.
• Competent, practical use of AI in your own work. Experience building agents or agentic workflows that take real tasks off a human’s plate is a plus.
• Judgment about what to escalate and what to handle, and clear, concise written communication with executives when you do.
• Demonstrates influence without authority.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, with regular time in our Hurst office and occasional travel to Chico, California.
Nice to Have
• Experience at a company that has been through an acquisition, on either side of it.
• B2B SaaS background.
• NetSuite or CPQ exposure, or experience partnering with a finance team on billing and revenue systems.
• Experience in automotive, dealership software, fleet, logistics, or industrial B2B.
Why Join Us?
• Real ownership, early. This role exists because the work is too important to leave unowned. You will not be waiting for permission.
• A seat close to the decisions. You will work directly with our VP of Operations and alongside our senior leadership team.
• A role that grows with the company. The scope is durable and it gets bigger as we do.
Ready to Build Something?
If you are the person people come to because you actually get things done, and you want a role where that instinct is the job rather than a side effect of it, we would love to hear from you. Apply now or reach out to us at jobs@worktrucksolutions.com with your resume.
