About xCures

xCures is redefining how healthcare organizations in the US access, trust, and act on patient data. Our mission is to ensure that critical patient information is available when, where, and how it’s needed most — helping care providers and partners make faster, better-informed decisions that improve health outcomes.

Our AI-powered software platform aggregates, structures, normalizes, and distills patient health data from care encounters nationwide. Our driving purpose is to equip our partners with the critical pieces of validated, traceable information that they need to render care and services in a form that inspires confidence and provides real clinical utility.

At xCures, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of quality and trust. Like the tools we build, our work is driven by precision, performance, and purpose. xCures is excited to champion responsible interoperability and the transformative potential of AI in healthcare, when done with the right values front of mind.

This Role is Perfect for You If You Love:

  • Championing user needs and translating insights into elegant, intuitive workflows
  • Designing complex experiences that inspire confidence in AI-enabled systems, especially in high-stakes healthcare contexts
  • Turning ambiguity into structure by defining design-first principles, patterns, and guardrails (as a systems thinker who bridges product, data, and operational workflows)
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with brilliant teammates across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Customer Success, and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams, while maintaining the UX quality bar

About the role:

We are seeking a high-agency Product Designer to lead design for data-centric, AI-enabled product iterations, feature expansions, and workflow-tool extensions across the xCures platform. In this role, you will not only design interfaces – you will help define how our products should behave. This is an ideal role for a designer who thrives in complex problem spaces (from discovery to prototyping) and wants meaningful influence over product direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate requirements into clear, intuitive workflows, wireframes, low-/high-fidelity mocks, interactive prototypes, and production-ready UI specs that balance ease of use and trust
  • Partner end-to-end with Engineering and Data Science teams to ship high-quality implementations (i.e., review ticket backlogs and PRDs, participate in QA, and audit shipped experiences for consistency with specs and the design system)
  • Plan and validate user research and proposed journeys in collaboration with Product, frame problems and hypotheses, define success metrics, and instrument/monitor UX KPIs
  • Evolve and document the xCures’ design system to drive consistency, accessibility, and development velocity, documenting guidelines and guardrails for contributors
  • Gather inspiration for and build early-stage prototypes to explore long-term product vision, solicit rapid feedback from potential users and stakeholders, and enable go-to-market with demos and narrative assets
  • Clearly communicate design decisions and rationales across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Customer Success, and GTM teams

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in HCI, Design, or related field
  • 3–5+ years product design experience
  • Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product/feature design and shipped results
  • Experience designing AI-first feature in production, not just concept work
  • Expert-level proficiency in Figma and rapid prototyping
  • Strong interaction, visual, and information design craft
  • Solid grounding in design systems, data visualization, and UX fundamentals in complex domains
  • Ability to communicate well, manage competing priorities, calibrate speed vs. depth prioritization by task, and drive execution in agile environments

Preferred

  • HealthTech, AI, and/or B2B SaaS experience preferred
  • Familiarity with the privacy, security, and regulatory constraints in US healthcare
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams on complex implementations
  • Mission alignment
