Technical Operations Engineer

About ZSuite Technologies Inc

ZSuite Tech was founded in 2019 as an independent company after Leader Bank, a Boston-based community bank, developed a suite of commercial banking tools that drove significant client growth. Their success led to the creation of ZSuite Tech, bringing these innovative solutions to a broader market. In 2022, ZSuite Tech raised $11 million in Series A funding from leading investors, including S3 Ventures, JAM FINTOP, and BankTech Ventures.

Today, ZSuite Tech stands out in the banking industry for its user-friendly features and proven results, earning the trust of over 150 financial institutions across the United States and helping generate billions in new deposits for its partners.

About the team

This is a specialized technical team at ZSuite Technologies supporting our flagship product, ZEscrow. The team's work centers on three priorities. First, keeping the lights on: working a daily queue of data issues, resolving what they can and routing the rest to Support or Success when client context is needed. Second, special projects: mergers, acquisitions, core conversions, and other client-driven work with tighter timelines. Third, once the first two are covered, the team looks for ways to improve internal processes and eliminate manual work for the long term.

Day to day, this means data migrations, data querying and validation, issue investigation, and building Python tooling to streamline analysis and automate the resolution of known data issues. While most work is internal, the team occasionally engages directly with customers on technical matters such as API integration questions, and works closely with Ops, Customer Success, and Development. The team currently consists of two members and is expanding to three. This role is fully remote, with travel required for one company-wide meeting each year.

Responsibilities

The Technical Operations Engineer will write SQL to query and validate data, develop Python scripts to accelerate analysis and automate fixes for recurring data issues, and work extensively with raw data across formats including CSV, Excel, and JSON. The role involves investigating issues end to end through to full resolution and providing direct technical support to customers and internal partners as needed. Recurring operational tasks are shared across the team, and every member is expected to contribute to this routine work alongside project-based responsibilities.
