About the role

  • As part of a small but mighty People & Culture team, the HR Generalist will collaborate fully with teammates, several internal department partners, and support both employees and leaders during the employee lifecycle. As part of a fast-growing organization, the HR Generalist will work on a variety of projects and tasks, including administering and improving our HRIS (Rippling), helping to manage our better-than-market benefits and perks program, plan and execute internal and external events with our culture team, and help to build and develop new structure to support FMH as we continue to grow.

What you'll do

  • Be a part of a very collaborative team, align with our core values of Integrity, Grit, Adaptability & Collaboration, and be willing to roll up your sleeves and dive in on what is needed!
  • Daily and ongoing work in Rippling, our HRIS, ensuring workflows are set up, entering information to support performance management, goals, promotions, assisting with recruiting and onboarding functions, and creating and running reports.
  • Benefits administration, enrolling new employees, overseeing QLEs, working with finance to ensure HSA and 401k contributions are accurate, communicating with our broker partners to help resolve problems, contribute to a successful open enrollment program, and continue to educate our teammates on the benefit programs available.
  • Collaborate with the Mgr. of Training and Onboarding to help with posting jobs, phone screens, sending offer letters, answering candidate questions, background checks, new hire orientation, and ensuring every new employee receives a warm welcome to FMH.
  • Be a driving part of the culture team, planning and executing various events for our team including virtual events, giving back opportunities, wellness initiatives, and just office fun - because we love our culture and value relationships with our teammates!
  • Learn market compensation and assist in creating salary ranges, salary bands, researching salary information for new positions, etc. Assisting in creating job descriptions and career paths - including eLearning programs in our Learning Management System.
  • Partner with leaders throughout the organization to support their talent management needs.

What we need from you

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business with a heavy emphasis on HR, or similar - required. HR Certification desired.
  • 3+ years of experience as an HR Team Member supporting the entire employee lifecycle - required.

  • An ongoing positive, can-do, solutions-orientated attitude. A willingness to learn all things HR and a desire to grow in your career.
  • A solid understanding of HRIS usage and ability to learn new systems quickly. Rippling experience is highly desired. Ability to think through and set up workflows, system approvals, creating and running reports, creating and sending a variety of surveys, and accurate data entry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be skilled at build trusting relationships. Confidence and experience supporting and delivering difficult conversations.
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations - both live and virtual (via Teams) including Team Updates and Training for employees and managers.
  • Excellent knowledge of the full MS Office Suite.
  • Be highly organized, fast-paced with the ability to remember the details, be able to think things through, consider outcomes, push back, and suggest new ideas and ongoing improvements.
  • The commitment to work in an office - this role is 100% onsite (with some flexibility as needed). You cannot successfully support a team if you aren't working with the team.
