Configuration Operations Specialist

Overview

The Configuration Operations Specialist is responsible for support of client program configuration; configuring and testing new client programs and supporting change requests for existing client programs; and related product and rate configuration maintenance. As part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment, this position will support operational practices that deliver against key objectives to meet the needs of our internal and external stakeholders. Operational excellence will ensure both internal and external stakeholders’ expectations are exceeded, and over time will support the company’s efforts to drive growth through renewals and expansion.

 

Specifics  

The specific responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Applies knowledge of internal routing/configuration rules to successfully support client program configurations submitted change requests.
  • Ensures assigned due dates for submitted change requests are met. 
  • Maintain supplier and payer configuration.
  • Acquires a thorough understanding of routing/system logic to ensure proposed design satisfies the intended solution.
  • Uses internal best practices for configuration to avoid inefficient and non-sustainable configuration structures. 
  • Perform testing and validation to confirm configuration design processes as expected and meets customer requirements and that all appropriate documentation is fully and accurately completed.
  • Utilizes project planning, prioritizing, and organizational skills to ensure timely deliverables, high levels of quality, and efficient use of resources to achieve configuration accuracy. 
  • Support intake as needed to research issues with missing/incomplete authorization details.
  • Support Configuration Operations Lead as assigned to maintain/update system drug, payer and supplier information.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required, associate or bachelor’s Degree desired
  • The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of work experience in a specialty pharmacy, health plan, pharmacy benefit management, pharma manufacturing hub, or other related healthcare field.
  • Experience with specialty drugs is preferred.  Knowledge of PA/UM process is a plus.
  • Demonstrated operational excellence in analytical thinking, process development and improvement, problem solving, delegation, and planning.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite, with ability to learn proprietary company software.
  • Experience with SQL programming a plus.
