Referral Support Specialist

About the role

The Referral Support Specialist works alongside the Supervisor, Referral Support and other specialists as the oversight of the referral lifecycle for every member.  The Referral Support Specialist will ensure members continue to experience solid service levels throughout their treatment lifecycle.


What you'll do

  • Provide primary oversight of referrals to ensure timely member onboarding by the assigned pharmacy.
  • Continued referral monitoring for:
    • timely refills
    • therapy abandonment/discontinuation
    • multiple referrals for associated products
    • multiple referrals under different member IDs
  • Review eligibility files for eligibility verification/reverification through referral lifecycle and unmanage referrals as appropriate
  • Review reports and complete any required actions or activities
  • Escalate issues to specialized teams and support teams as required
  • Identify and notify Customer Success when opportunities for additional education/training are noticed while supporting pharmacies
  • Work within all applications needed to perform job duties
  • Other responsibilities as judgment or necessity dictate

What we need from you

  • High School diploma required, Associates Degree with focus on business or pharmacy industry desired
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, specifically in healthcare, specialty pharmacy, or PMB settings
  • Experience providing customer service to internal an external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Proficient computer skills, with working knowledge of MS360 Office Suite, and the ability to learn proprietary company software
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a diplomatic and confidential manner
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions, work independently and efficiently, ability to multitask and work with multiple systems with flexibility
