Position Overview:
Freedom House is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Program Director to provide visionary leadership, strategic oversight, and operational excellence for our two-year, Christ-centered addiction recovery program for mothers and their children. This role requires a dynamic and compassionate leader dedicated to fostering transformational change in the lives of women and ensuring the long-term success and sustainability of the program. The Program Director will be responsible for maintaining full program capacity, managing staff, and spearheading future expansion efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold, promote, and integrate the Christ-centered mission of Freedom House into all aspects of the program.
- Develop and implement robust outreach and intake strategies to ensure all 30 beds remain consistently occupied, maintaining a waiting list for future admissions.
- Provide strong leadership, guidance, and supervision to program staff, ensuring alignment with the mission and values of Freedom House.
- Design and refine operational processes to optimize program effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Oversee crisis management protocols, effectively addressing resident concerns with staff.
- Foster and maintain strategic partnerships with referral sources, faith-based organizations, community agencies, and support networks to enhance program reach and impact.
- Track and evaluate program outcomes, using data-driven insights to enhance service delivery and ensure continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for the growth and expansion of Freedom House into additional recovery services and locations.
- Collaborate with the community on services that can assist our clients in the recovery.
- Lead outreach efforts to establish and maintain partnerships with local agencies, businesses, faith-based organizations, and community service providers.
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grant writing and donor engagement, in collaboration with the community.
- Promote the program through community presentations, networking events, and public relations efforts.
- Serve as a primary contact for external stakeholders, including government agencies, referral sources, and support networks.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in addiction recovery, nonprofit management, or a related human services field.
- Proven ability to develop and implement structured processes that support program success, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
- Strong background in supervising, mentoring, and empowering a diverse team of staff and volunteers.
- Expertise in trauma-informed care, addiction recovery models, and faith-based rehabilitation principles.
- Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience cultivating community partnerships and referral pipelines to drive program growth.
- Deep commitment to the mission and values of Freedom House and the transformative power of faith-based recovery.
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Nonprofit Management, Ministry Leadership, or a related field.
- Professional certification and experience in addiction counseling and trauma-informed care.
- Female with demonstrated success in program expansion, sustainability planning, and strategic development.
