Job Description
FreeWorld is seeking to grow our front-line program team! We are looking for a Success Coach who is passionate about our mission and who believes that everyone deserves a real second chance!
Success Coaches support FreeWorld’s program participants (who we call Free Agents) to successfully move through all steps of our program - from application to employment. We utilize technology and automation in a fully remote setting to enable us to expand our reach with a small but dedicated team.
Good candidates are natural communicators, self-driven, comfortable with technology and remote work, and enjoy interacting with high-risk individuals on a daily basis. You are hungry to learn and help with a range of priorities to support the success of our Free Agents on all levels.
There is one open Success Coach position. This person will sit on our Career Services Team and will report to our Career Services Manager.
What you’ll do (Job Responsibilities)
- Utilize technology to interact with program participants (Free Agents) via phone calls, text, and messaging.
- You will be responsible for helping address the barriers that Free Agents face as they proceed throughout the program; from application, education, and graduation.
- You will be a coach, mentor, and motivator to their success and provide emotional support and material resources to Free Agents
- Be connected, available, and respond quickly when Free Agents or team members reach out.
- Be dependable, adaptable, and resourceful. Always follow through and follow up!
- Help Free Agents secure their vital documents and records via Free World’s documents processes
- Focus on a primary stage of the program lifecycle as assigned, but be willing to assist in all stages of the program lifecycle as needed. Stages include intake and stabilization, training and education, and career support.
- Develop trust-based relationships with a high volume of Free Agents. You may also engage with other partners - such as trucking companies, reentry non-profits, or trucking schools as required for your specialization. Learn about the trucking industry and obtain a CDL-A permit
- Be entrepreneurial. Learn our processes to understand what we do and why we do it, then contribute ideas that may improve the way we do things.
- Work with the Program Manager and Career Services Manager to gather any and all data so we can develop ways to improve our program and the experience of our Free Agents
What you’ll have (Required Experience and Qualifications)
- Experience working with high-risk populations as a case manager, client services specialist, or in a related-relationship management position
- Strong and willing communicator with a high level of emotional intelligence. Must enjoy collaboration and developing relationships.
- The ability to show patience and resolve and use good judgment in stressful situations
- Empathy in all circumstances and a passion for helping others
- Tech savvy or demonstrated quick learner of technology
- Self-directed - You can manage your own time to get projects done
- Flexible - You understand that things change, and you can pivot as needed
