About the role

We are looking for a Data Analytics & Insights Lead who will drive our analytics strategy and delivery as part of our expanding data team. Reporting to our CTO, you’ll be responsible for building and scaling our analytics capabilities to deliver insights that support internal business decisions, empower clients, and inform product strategy.

Applicants must be based in/ willing to relocate to Sydney. Unfortunately, we are unable to support visa sponsorship for this role.

What you'll do

• Innovation & Strategy:  Support data strategy and innovation across the business, while also leading the adoption of best practices regarding data governance practices, driving reliability and consistency in analytics outputs.
• Analytics Mastery: Leverage your technical expertise to deliver high-quality analytics solutions across diverse business needs.
• Project Management: Manage multiple analytics projects, including both external and internal-facing products, dashboards and reporting ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery.
• Leadership: Build and develop a high performing data and analytics team and set clear priorities to motivate the team to deliver high quality projects that deliver business impact
• Commercial Acumen: Translate complex business questions into clear, actionable analytics solutions while collaborating with stakeholders to identify opportunities where data-driven insights can create tangible business value.  
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with both internal teams and external clients to identify and deliver impactful data solutions.

• Highly adaptable, able to manage ambiguity and thrive in a dynamic environment.

We'd love you to have

• Tertiary qualifications in engineering, mathematics, actuarial studies, statistics, physics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in analytics, with strong technical expertise in SQL, Python, and BigQuery
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects, with cross-functional teams and delivering impactful results.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to translate business questions into actionable analytics.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing teams and stakeholders.
• Advanced data visualisation skills (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
