Job Title: Unarmed Security Officer (Level II)
Location: Grapevine
Pay: $18-$20per hour, depending on qualifications (paid bi-weekly)
Status: Full/Part Time (3 Full Time openings and several Part-Time)

Position Summary

First Responder Protective Services (FRPS) is hiring multiple Unarmed Security Officers to provide a consistent security presence at a controlled-access community in the Grapevine area. This position is primarily based in a spacious, climate-controlled guard shack, where officers will manage access control, monitor video surveillance and access systems, and check residents and visitors in and out of the property. The guard shack is equipped with basic necessities and access to clean, private restroom facilities. Officers will also conduct occasional patrols of the property, both on foot and by golf cart, to maintain visibility and ensure the safety of residents and property. Weekday and weekend shifts are available, with 24/7 coverage required.  

Key Responsibilities

• Manage check-in/out  residents and visitors in a climate controlled shack.
• Monitor entrances, access points, and surveillance systems.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents.
• Prepare detailed incident and activity reports as required.
• Remain alert and proactive in identifying and reporting security concerns
• Follow all post orders and supervisor instructions
• Occasional mobile and foot patrol in assigned areas to ensure safety and security of residents, staff, and property.

Requirements

• Must have at least one year of experience unarmed security.
• Must hold a current Level II Texas Noncommissioned Security License
• Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License (or ability to obtain before starting)
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Able to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods

Shifts Available - 7 days a week, 8 hour shifts.  

• 6:30am - 2:30pm
• 2:30pm -10:30pm
• 10:30pm - 6:30am

Uniform & Equipment

• FRPS Provides: Uniform shirt, hats, cold weather gear
• Officer Provides: Duty pants, black boots

Compensation & Advancement

• Hourly Pay: $18-$20/hour (based on experience and availability)
• Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly via direct deposit
• Status: W2 employee (eligible for overtime after 40 hours in a workweek)
• Shifts: 8 hours per day

• • 1st Year: Accrue up to 7 days (56 hours)
  • 2nd Year: Accrue up to 10 days (80 hours)
