SUMMARY: The Fabricator at Stone Resources plays a key role in our manufacturing process, by manually shaping and polishing finished pieces including complex fabricating work such as lamination. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and effective communication with supervisors and team members.

Essential Functions:

• Operate and oversee stone polishing hand tools.
• Set up and fine-tune machine settings according to product specifications.
• Conduct regular quality assessments on polished stone products.
• Identify and address any defects or irregularities in the polishing process.
• Load raw materials into the polishing machine and unload finished polished stone products.
• Follow established material handling procedures to prevent damage or waste.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Promptly report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance requirements.

Skills:

• Attention to detail and precision in work.
• Troubleshooting skills for identifying and addressing machine issues promptly.
• Knowledge of quality control processes in a manufacturing setting.

Work Environment: The work environment in the stone manufacturing industry may involve exposure to dust, noise, and various weather conditions.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and move heavy stone materials.
• Stamina to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in stone manufacturing.
• Proven experience as a machine operator, preferably in stone fabrication or a similar manufacturing environment.
