Position Overview
The Director of Field Sales at FÜM is a key leadership role responsible for managing, developing and executing the field sales strategy. This role requires a results orientated leader who will oversee a team of contracted sales professionals, build and maintain strong client relationships and implement strategies to maximize revenue growth and market penetration. The Director will work closely with senior leadership and collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with overall business goals and objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of the legal and compliance aspects of working with independent contractors.
Responsibilities
- Lead and Develop Sales Team: Manage, motivate, and mentor a high-performing field sales team, setting clear goals and fostering professional growth.
- Sales Strategy Execution: Create and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue growth and market expansion.
- Performance Monitoring: Track sales team performance through key metrics, providing regular reports to senior management and making data-driven recommendations.
- Market Expansion: Identify new business opportunities, expand into new territories, and develop strong client relationships to increase market share.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment with company objectives and optimize sales efforts.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build lasting relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service and driving customer loyalty.
- Resource & Budget Management: Oversee sales budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and manage field sales expenses to maximize ROI.
Key Performance Indicators
- Sales Revenue Growth: Achievement of individual and team sales targets. (e.g., quarterly, annual)
- New Business Acquisition: Securing new customers and accounts.
- Customer Retention: Maintaining and growing existing customer relationships.
- Average Order Value (AOV): Increasing the value of each sale.
- Sales Team Performance: Managing, motivating and developing the team and their achievements.
Proficiencies
- Strong leadership, management, and coaching skills, specifically tailored to managing independent contractors.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies optimized for a contracted sales force.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Deep understanding of the legal and compliance requirements related to working with independent contractors.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory.
Compensation
The compensation will be $100,000-$150,000 USD base salary with an OTE (on-target earnings).
