Head of Omnichannel Sales

Position Summary

We are seeking a proven, high-impact CPG sales leader with a demonstrated ability to build and scale brands in US mass retail—including Walmart, Target, and other national accounts. This role demands a leader with mastery in Revenue Growth Management (RGM), trade optimization, P&L management, and customer relationship building, who can deliver sustainable, profitable growth across Retail, DTC, and e-commerce channels.


Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Omnichannel Sales will serve as the company’s commercial growth architect. You will own customer P&Ls, lead joint business planning, and create a DTC-to-retail innovation flywheel, where our direct-to-consumer channel serves as a rapid test-lab for innovations that can scale successfully into omnichannel retail.


Key Responsibilities


Retail Growth Leadership

  • Drive portfolio growth in all existing retail accounts, including but not limited to Amazon, HEB, Kroger, Meijer, Target, and Walmart. 
  • Leverage category insights, retail media, and data-driven trade optimization to deliver breakthrough results.
  • Ensure flawless execution of all commercial fundamentals—pricing, promotion, assortment, and distribution—to maximize ROI.
  • Lead retail distribution expansion strategy to pave the way for future accelerated growth.

Omnichannel Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute integrated sales strategies across Retail, DTC, and e-commerce channels.
  • Partner with Marketing to activate shopper marketing and retail media programs that win both online and in-store to drive incremental sales.

DTC-to-Retail Flywheel Creation

  • Use DTC as an agile innovation lab to test products, messaging, and campaigns.
  • Translate successful learnings into large-scale, de-risked retail launches that accelerate brand growth.

Master RGM, Trade Optimization, & P&L Management

  • Lead pricing, pack architecture, promotional strategy, and distribution planning to drive profitable topline growth.
  • Manage a balanced portfolio of retailer, eComm pure play, and DTC P&Ls to meet or exceed company growth and margin targets.

High-Impact Commercial Negotiations

  • Lead joint business planning and annual negotiations with key retail partners, securing terms, promotional programs, and long-term growth commitments.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing omnichannel sales team.
  • Cultivate and manage A+ broker relationships. 
  • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, agility, and excellence.



Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive sales leadership in CPG (hair care / personal care preferred, but not required)
  • Proven success driving mass retail growth—Walmart, Target, food, or equivalent – preferably with experience in both directly managed retailer relationships and broker partner management
  • Proven success launching brands into new retail environments – drug, club, dollar, etc.
  • Deep expertise in Revenue Growth Management, trade spend optimization, P&L management, retail media networks, shopper programming
    Demonstrated ability to create DTC-to-retail scale flywheels that accelerate brand growth
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills with the ability to translate POS and Pannel data into actionable strategies, with an AI-first approach
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Track record of building high-performing teams in high-growth environments
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a relentless drive for results

Location: New York City, NY (HQ) or a major retailer hub city — preferably Minneapolis, MN or Bentonville, AR

The pay range for this role is:

175,000 - 200,000 USD per year (NYC)
