The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist is responsible for the data collection and monitoring of sleep study patients. The ideal candidate will be flexible and possess the ability to make sound judgments.


FusionSleep, located in Johns Creek/Suwanee, Georgia, is an accredited, independent medical practice that is 100% dedicated to sleep medicine. Our expert team of experienced physicians are board certified in sleep medicine and focus on disease prevention and management.


This is night shift work from 7:00pm - 7:00am or 8:30 pm - 6:30am. 2:1 patient to tech ratio is standard, possibility of 3:1 with a bonus for techs who are efficient and comfortable with this responsibility. Techs may work independently or with others dependent on patient volume. Techs are granted access to full PPE including: masks, face shields, full body garments over scrubs and gloves. Titrations are only performed in negative air pressure environment.


What you'll do

  • Perform all types of sleep disorder testing, including set-up and performance of nocturnal polysomnograms (PSGs) on all age groups
  • Perform mask fittings and PAP desensitization for patients prior to their titration studies
  • Document items of note on sleep recordings as well as interactions with patients
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Communicate effectively with the lab manager

Qualifications

  • Active RPSGT or RST credential
  • Current CPR/BLSProficient in Google G-Suite and Microsoft Suite − Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Solid problem solving skills.
  • Works well independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to identify sleep stage, respiratory, cardiac and other events of note on a PSG
  • Check order for patients and communicate with the doctor on call or lab manager with questions
  • Ability to accurately document tech notes.
