We strive to give more access to the technology and care they need to lead fuller lives.

Our vision is to work with our partners — employers, health systems, health plans, government agencies, provider groups and others committed to transforming care — to expand sleep health care to where it is needed, so it can take its rightful place in the healthcare ecosystem.

About the role

The Lead Nighttime Sleep Technologist plays a vital role by bridging the gap between daytime management and nighttime laboratory operations. This position is dedicated to mentoring, coaching, and developing night shift technologists, aligning night operations with company culture, values, and clinical standards.

In addition to acquiring high-quality nocturnal sleep studies, the Lead Nighttime Sleep Tech acts as the primary overnight contact for technical troubleshooting, ensures accurate execution of provider orders and specialized research/Nox-related testing projects, assists with staff evaluations, and maintains facility standards to support overall patient satisfaction and clinical excellence.

What you'll do

  • Perform polysomnographic testing and patient care in strict accordance with physician orders, clinical guidelines, special requests, and AASM standards.
  • Act as the first line of support overnight for technical troubleshooting, equipment issues, and operational questions from night staff.
  • Ensure assigned research studies (e.g. Nox-related testing initiatives, and special clinical projects) are executed accurately and completed according to protocols.
  • Maintain high attention to detail regarding the “tech shift report,” patient charts, provider orders, and study documentation. Perform sleep study scoring as needed, particularly to support titrations, split protocols or next-day MSLT testing decisions.
  • Maintain high standards of patient care, service and comfort, ensuring a positive onsite patient experience in the sleep lab.
  • Conduct regular facility assessments to ensure patient rooms, control room, staff common areas and equipment are clean, fully functional, and in good condition. Promptly report maintenance issues or equipment damage.
  • Oversee overnight inventory usage, including all testing related supplies, PAP titration mask availability and linen usage.
  • Assist lab management with maintaining compliance for AASM accreditation, quality assurance metrics, and preparation for site inspections.

  • Demonstrated potential or background in peer leadership, coaching, or clinical instruction.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in sleep study equipment, and knowledge of sleep disorders and treatments; must also be computer literate with excellent knowledge of sleep testing software, EHR experience and communication tools (e.g. Gmail, Slack etc.)
