Internship Overview:
The role of the Communications & Public Relations Intern is to support the marketing and public relations teams while gaining valuable career mentorship and educational experience through an unpaid internship. The intern will assist in the development and execution of the Moomoo Foundation’s communication strategies, which has a focus on US collegiate financial literacy programs. Through the course of the 12 week internship, the intern will have the ability to network across the firm and meet with senior leadership. Interns will have access to career mentorship and support. The internship experience will culminate with a presentation of a capstone project or thesis.
 
Internship Objectives:
  • Be hands on in the content creation for various communication channels including press releases, video clips, and social media platforms.
  • Assist in the development and execution of Moomoo Foundation’s communication campaigns across various channels with a focus on the US college financial literacy programs.
  • Learn how to plan and execute offline events, such as college campus seminars.
  • Explore how to maintain and update communication resources and platforms.
  • Work alongside the communications and PR team to provide operational and administrative support.
 
About You:
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
  • Looking to complete an internship to fulfill requirements to complete your degree (for college credit).
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Creative and resourceful, with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with many moving pieces.
  • Excellent team contributor who works effectively with others.
  • Has experience with content creation tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, etc.)
  • Exposure to event planning and execution is a plus
  • Knowledge of working at a NGO is a plus, but not required.
