Role Description

This is a critical leadership role where you will directly manage and grow the Product and Platform engineering teams. This is a high ownership and high impact role. Galileo is at the heart of the generative AI wave and has consistently observed 3x ARR growth for the past 3 quarters, with high demand from AI teams across enterprises. 

In this role, 

• You will work closely with the founders to ensure Galileo’s products are robust, scalable and reliable for our customers. 

• You will build processes for engineering delivery, releases, testing and rapid iteration based on customer feedback.

• Co-envision, scope, execute, land and iterate on big, bold ideas that will impact the lives of AI developers across the world’s largest enterprises. Reporting directly into the CTO (previously an engineering leader at Uber AI and Apple Siri), the role will need you to work x-functionally across sales, marketing and customer success to ensure that Galileo is providing high ROI for every customer.

The ideal candidate should have a track record of managing large, highly technical engineering teams with an in-the-trenches mindset, while having high empathy and a keen eye for what each member of their team needs in order to grow. If you thrive on being in the weeds of every single detail across all the product features, have strong opinions, can debate and defend them, and are not just a people manager – we would love to talk.

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of full-time engineering experience

• At least 4 years of experience managing engineering teams

• Experience building and scaling products at hyper-growth startups

• Extremely strong track record as a hands on engineering leader

• Show a track record of mentoring and leading teams in successful projects

• Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Deep technical knowledge of Software Development, platform engineering and willing to get deep into the weeds to solve problems alongside the team

• Have experience with AI platforms and technologies, especially with generative models and LLMs

• A knowledge of and interest in the latest developments in AI safety and evaluation
