Main Responsibilities

This role calls for a hands-on Sr Engineering Manager who will also be the Site lead for our Bengaluru development team as we build the team.

The ideal candidate has the following abilities.

• Has around 5 plus years of experience as an Engineering Management Leader in the Software domain (ideally with experience spanning medium to large scale organizations and with early stage startups which exposes the candidate to different challenges)
• Is Hands-on - has the ability to get into the minute details of the design, architecture or the codebase and help guide engineers in areas where they face challenges.
• Breadth of Skills - has the ability to manage engineers that have different skillsets such as UI Engineering, DevOps, Backend Engineering, AI Engineering and Customer Engineering. This role would need to have previous exposure either as an engineer or as a manager spanning at least a majority of these functions.

Ideally has built or led teams building AI first applications. At the very least should be AI curious and have a minimum of 2 years plus experience around ML/AI based solutions.

What does this role involve

1. Liaison with the Product Managers and Eng Leadership in SF and NY to ensure strong communication, sharing context, surfacing challenges and driving delivery. Some amount of overlap with the Pacific timezone will be required.
2. Recruit engineers working with Agency (in India) or Galileo recruiters in the US.
3. Ensure that there is strong bonding and cohesiveness between all the team members as this will likely be a hybrid working environment 
4. On-call/Support- this role will have to be available for some on-call and support needs in collaboration with the US based Platform and Product engineers.
5. Execution - focus on delivery and ensure that developer velocity is top of mind.
