Galtra Solutions

Manufacturing Engineer

About Galtra Solutions:

Galtra Solutions develops and delivers integrated power and cooling systems for data centers, including modular prefabricated platforms. Our work spans design, engineering, manufacturing, and field deployment. We partner with OEMs, fabricators, and technology leaders to accelerate delivery of efficient, scalable solutions for hyperscale, colocation, and AI/HPC markets.

Role Overview:

The Manufacturing Engineer builds and enforces Galtra’s manufacturing release and change control operating system, converting approved engineering intent into manufacturable, repeatable, and cost controlled products with a primary focus on contract manufacturing execution. This role prevents vendor interpretation drift and build instability by owning manufacturing release package completeness, measurable acceptance criteria, disciplined change control, and fast closure of manufacturer questions.

This is an experienced individual contributor role with single-thread ownership for assigned product scope. You have authority to stop work when manufacturing documentation, acceptance criteria, or revision compliance is not controlled, and you escalate through Operations leadership when business tradeoffs or cross-functional conflicts require executive resolution.

Essential Functions:

  • Own the build-ready manufacturing release derived from approved engineering design intent
  • Create, release, and maintain manufacturing documentation and BOMs with strict revision control
  • Define objective acceptance criteria, inspection points, and test readiness requirements
  • Evaluate and approve manufacturing deviations, alternates, and substitutions
  • Serve as the technical interface to contract manufacturers and own RFI closure
  • Partner with Quality and Supply Chain to support compliant, repeatable builds
  • Drive DFM improvements, tooling needs, and continuous industrialization

Qualifications:

  • · Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years in manufacturing engineering or industrial product development with direct ownership of production release documentation.
  • Demonstrated experience releasing production documentation to contract manufacturers and fabricators.
  • Strong proficiency with CAD and drawing standards suitable for production release.
  • Working knowledge of tolerancing and fit for fabricated assemblies; GD&T experience is a plus
  • Strong understanding of fabricated assemblies and processes, including sheet metal, weldments, piping, mechanical assemblies, and assembly sequencing. Experience building BOMs, routings, and production documentation in a structured environment.
  • Experience with controlled change processes (ECO/ECN style), revision discipline, and controlled release.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate engineering intent into build-ready requirements.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity with rapid iteration while maintaining documentation discipline.

Travel/Relocation Requirements:

Travel up to 25% to manufacturing partners, suppliers, test sites, and customer sites as needed.

Benefits:

We offer a very competitive benefits package; highlights include:

  • Choice of comprehensive medical plans (including two PPO-style plans and a HDHP w/ HSA option)
  • Flex spending accounts (FSA)
  • Dental and vision plans
  • Comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits extended to spouse / domestic partner and dependent children up to age 26
  • 401k with company match and self-directed brokerage account option
  • PTO including additional paid time off during the last week of the year
  • Company paid life insurance coverage for employees and their eligible dependents
  • Short and long-term disability, AD&D coverage
