JOB SUMMARY: 

Garden State Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a part-time Lab Analyst, who will report to the Wet Chemistry Supervisor in our Jersey Shore Lab located in Waretown, New Jersey. The analyst will be responsible for using analytical methods to provide prompt and accurate testing for assigned environmental samples using approved standard analytical techniques that comply with our laboratory standard operating procedures. Depending on workload, there is also potential to cross-train in our Microbiology department.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyzing environmental samples for a variety of wet chemistry parameters
  • Entering results into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
  • Reviewing analytical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Assisting with daily, quarterly, and annual calibrations of instruments
  • Maintaining a clean work environment by regularly sanitizing work spaces, washing glassware, etc.
  • Helping with any other responsibilities as directed by the supervisor

Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor or manager to accommodate short-term departmental needs.

 Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Laboratory experience or a background in science is desired.
  • Garden State Laboratories provides training to all new hires.

The compensation will start at $17 per hour.
