About the role

Full-time

Hourly Pay: $38.00-$45.86/hour


We are looking for a talented and experienced bags-on Construction Lead to oversee our Handyman projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and home repair, with the ability to handle a variety of tasks efficiently and effectively. As the Handyman Construction Lead, you will be responsible for assessing repair needs, overseeing the repair process to ensure timely completion and customer satisfaction. 

 

What you'll do

  • Perform a broad range of light remodeling tasks, confidently, without supervision, while maintaining Gaspar’s quality and customer service standards. 
  • Run multiple jobs at one time. 
  • Demonstrate craftsman carpentry skills in high-end homes. 
  • Develop creative solutions when confronted by unique problems. 
  • Perform various tasks from rough finish carpentry, drywall, painting, rot/leak detection repair, light electrical, light plumbing, light tilling window, and door installation. 

Qualifications

  1. A strong and thorough understanding of the industry and home systems. 
  2. MUST have at least 5 years’ experience in residential remodeling and 10 years in the trades. 
  3. Ability to instruct others. 
  4. An ability to work independently and make decisions. 
  5. A valid license and a clean driving record. 
  6. Must have the necessary power and hand tools to perform basic home maintenance. 
  7. Able to pass drug and background check. 
  8. Basic administrative, computer and arithmetic skills to accurately prepare invoices and track paperwork. 
  9. Strength, balance, and agility sufficient to work at gutter-level heights, dig postholes, and move around in confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces. 
  10. A lively, fun, outgoing demeanor with salesmanship skills 
  11. Must live within 15 miles of Seattle

Essential physical requirements, such as climbing, standing, stooping, or typing.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication in English; access, input and retrieve information from a phone or tablet. May be subject to repetitive motion such as bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, hammering, and lifting up to 75 pounds. 

The pay range for this role is:

75,705 - 90,846 USD per year (US National)
