PE Instructor (Ages 2-5)

Locations: Montgomery County

Schedule: Mornings, 9am-1pm, M-F

Pay rate: Based on credentials, $25/hr

This role is mornings only (9:00 AM–1:00 PM), Monday–Friday, making it a great option for someone looking to add a creative specialty to their schedule. There will be opportunities for extra hours in support of special events.

About the role

As a PE Instructor, you’ll introduce our youngest learners to movement, coordination, teamwork, and healthy habits through engaging, play-based activities. Classes are designed to be energetic, joyful, and developmentally appropriate—think obstacle courses, games, stretching, and lots of smiles.

Because you’ll be visiting multiple Georgetown Hill locations, you’ll need reliable transportation—and a playlist for the drive doesn’t hurt. 😉  Possible travel to the following locations is required:

• Apple Ridge/Gaithersburg - Tucked into the Montgomery Village neighborhoods, our campus serves upper Montgomery County; Germantown, Gaithersburg, Clarksburg, and Goshen areas.
• BCC/Bethesda - Located on Wisconsin Avenue in the heart of Bethesda, and is Metro accessible, our multi-level campus serves the surrounding neighborhoods and community with many families that walk to our location.
• Congressional Plaza/Rockville - Our beautiful campus is behind the plaza, and within walking distance to the Twinbrook metro
• Darnestown - Located right in the heart of Darnestown on Route 28, convenient to Gaithersburg, Germantown, Kentlands, and North Potomac
• Potomac Village - In the heart of Potomac, near the intersection of Falls and River Roads

What you'll do

• Lead structured, age-appropriate PE classes for preschool children
• Promote gross motor development, balance, coordination, and body awareness
• Create a positive, inclusive environment where every child feels successful
• Adapt activities to meet the developmental needs of toddlers and preschoolers
• Collaborate with school staff to support classroom routines and schedules
• Ensure a safe, encouraging, and well-managed class environment

Qualifications/What we are looking for

• Experience working with young children (ages 2-5 preferred)
• Background in physical education, early childhood education, fitness, dance, sports, or a related field
• High energy, patience, and a playful teaching style
• Ability to manage groups of young children in an engaging and supportive way
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
