Offshore Account Associate - CPG, Inventory, & ERP

Step into a key Offshore Account Associate role where you'll manage the complete accounting cycle for Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) clients. We're looking for an experienced professional with deep knowledge of inventory accounting, COGS reconciliation, and ERP systems (like NetSuite or Sage Intacct). You will own the month-end close, perform complex reconciliations, ensure strict US GAAP compliance, and utilize advanced Excel skills to deliver accurate financial statements and variance analysis. Success requires strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional client communication, and a passion for optimizing CPG-specific accounting workflows.


Key Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end accounting operations for CPG clients, including inventory, COGS, and fulfillment workflows.
• Perform month-end close activities, including inventory reconciliations, prepaid/accrual entries, and deferred revenue adjustments.
• Handle day-to-day accounting (bank/credit card entries, AP bills, AR invoicing, fixed asset capitalization, etc.).
• Collaborate with client teams to ensure accurate cost allocations, inventory valuation, and margin analysis.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal control policies.
• Support monthly and quarterly financial statements, including cash flow and variance analysis for inventory and COGS.
• Work on ERP and fulfillment systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, DEAR Systems, Fishbowl, Cin7, ShipBob, etc.) to maintain accounting accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with clients’ management teams (Controllers, CFOs, and Business Owners).
• Assist with Sales/Use tax filings, audit support, and management reporting packages.
• Support cross-functional teams to simplify and streamline CPG-related accounting processes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CA (Inter/Final) or equivalent preferred.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, COGS reconciliation, and fulfillment cost tracking.
• Experience with ERP systems – NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks Online/Desktop, Bill.com, Expensify, and Xero.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP (IFRS/IND-AS experience a plus).
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple clients and deliver high-quality output within agreed timelines.
• Strong problem-solving attitude with a focus on process improvement.

Preferred Background:
• Previous experience working with CPG or eCommerce clients.
• Hands-on experience managing inventory flows, SKU-level reporting, and fulfillment system integrations.
• Understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition principles.
• Exposure to multi-entity accounting and foreign currency transactions.


Experience Required:

3–7 years in US/Global Finance with strong exposure to CPG clients, inventory
accounting, and COGS management


Shift Details:

Monday - Friday EST Time zone (6:30 PM IST - 2:30 AM IST)

Company-provided laptop. Candidates may purchase an additional monitor if needed
(reimbursable up to $250 USD for monitor/mic/headset). Candidates should have reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace.
