- Prospecting and outbound sales - This is a full cycle sales position that includes prospecting and closing. You’ll be getting inbound leads and referrals and also doing outbound prospecting via email, linkedin, networking, tradeshows and some calling.
- Demos and sales process - You will be conducting product demonstrations that will require a strong understanding of our software, industry and best practices for how our customers use GlassHouse. You will also be doing follow up, CRM updates and funnel management as part of your day to day.
- Our sales process is focused on evangelized/provocative selling with a high velocity sales motion. We do ongoing training on the process as a team.
- Demo’s are done remotely via ZOOM
- Closing and customer handoffs - You’ll walk customers through final purchase, collecting contracts and business information and handling the data collection and handoff to our onboarding and support teams.
- Weekly training and practice - We do weekly team and company meetings to support our distributed team members. These are generally at 8:30 or 2:30pm CT but may vary slightly. We also run weekly 1:1s with each team member and 1-2 sales team training sessions to practice sales process and product knowledge.
- Give suggestions and feedback on what will improve our sales motion, product, and internal operations.
- Tradeshow attendance (SALES & MARKETING ROLES) throughout the year. These events are usually 2-3 days in length and may cover weekends.
- Remote Work with/ Hybrid Opportunity - We are a remote team with a hybrid office structure for Nashville area team members.
- As an early-stage company, roles may change, and expand over time. You will have an opportunity to participate in lots of new initiatives and projects.
- Attend and engage during 1-2 annual team meetings in Nashville, TN. These are generally 3 days including travel.
About You:
- The “must haves”
- Mission and value alignment is the most important criteria.
- Sales experience - Some sales experience is required - this may be software, home services, real estate or similar fields. You may or may not have been in a ‘closing’ role (so outbound SDR work is ok) but you are comfortable presenting solutions, discussing pricing and relaying problem solving options to customers.
- We are a high velocity sales motion where you will handle 20-30 active opportunities at a time with an expectation of 5-10 new opportunities created per week.
- This is a full cycle role where you will be sourcing 30-40% of your opportunities from linkedin, calls and email outreach.
- You’ve been customer-facing - you are able to engage people and keep their attention - you’re comfortable speaking opening and with positivity about solving businesses problems for your customers.
- You’re very computer-competent and can handle software tools b/c you’ve used them before (maybe not our specific stack, but you’re not afraid of technology)
- We are only hiring in Mountain, Central, or Eastern time zones to keep our team within 1 hour plus or minus from our ‘hub’ in Nashville.
- The “nice to haves”
- Nashville, TN or Indianapolis, IN proximity - Home service, franchise, or real estate experience
- Familiar with home service software like CRMs, FSMs or other sales platforms'
- Real estate or recruiter experience is also very similar to our sales motion and relevant for this role.
- You have been in an outbound or SDR role previously and are passionate about outbound sales.
- We find outbound to be a BIG part of our growth plans for GlassHouse.
- We sell a platform for our customers to execute outbound sales - so you ability to represent as a trusted advisor in this motion is very helpful in building trust with the buyer.
- You’ve been in a ‘teaching’ role
- A teaching role would be any setting where you have had to train, teach, and coach other people
- Outbound sales/marketing experience - familiarity with outbound tools like ZoomInfo, Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, Salesforce, Hubspot, etc…
