Senior Accountant

Join Us at Gloo: Help Us Build the Leading Technology Platform to Serve the Faith Ecosystem.

At Gloo, we believe relationships catalyze growth—and when technology serves relationships, the world can be transformed, one life at a time.  We recognize the faith ecosystem is broad and diverse. It includes churches, parachurch ministries and thousands of non-faith based organizations committed to advancing the flourishing of people. Our purpose is simple yet profound: to shape technology as a force for good, so that people can flourish and communities can thrive.. Therefore, our mission is to build the leading technology platform to serve the faith ecosystem.

We are a mission-driven organization, guided by four core principles:

  • Shape Technology for Good: Whether it’s AI tools, dashboards, or communication tools, we empower leaders with values-aligned solutions that amplify their missional impact with tools they can trust.
  • Serve Those Who Serve: From pastors and donors to network leaders and content creators—we’re passionate about providing technology that helps them do more of what they are called to do.
  • Release Collective Strength: We connect the diverse faith ecosystem—churches, parachurch ministries and thousands of non-faith based organizations committed to advancing the flourishing of people—so they can achieve more together than they could alone.
  • Enable Ecosystem Trust: Trust is the foundation of a connected faith community. We enable transparency, digital rights management, and simplicity to foster confident collaboration.

We are looking for talented, mission-driven individuals to join our team as we create innovative technology solutions that inspire and empower people to release the passion in every person, including you, to be all they were created to be. If you’re ready to make an impact with your talents and skills toward this purpose, we’d love to hear from you!

The Opportunity:

As Gloo’s Senior Accountant, you’ll step into a role that blends ownership, impact, and growth. You’ll begin by taking charge of Accounts Payable and Expense Management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across vendor payments and employee reimbursements, before expanding into full-cycle accounting—prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, intangibles, and month-end close. This is your chance to shape how accounting runs at a fast-growing, mission-driven company, raising the bar on accuracy, speed, and controls while preparing Gloo for public-company rigor. Along the way, you’ll partner closely with Finance, Treasury, and business leaders across the organization, building trusted relationships and translating numbers into insights that help the business thrive.

This is a hands-on role with room to innovate: you’ll not only execute critical accounting functions, but also streamline processes, strengthen internal controls, and explore automation opportunities that make the close faster and smarter. If you’re excited by the challenge of rolling up your sleeves, improving systems, and building toward a world-class accounting function, Gloo is the place to do it.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own A/P from invoice intake through disbursement—route for approval, GL code, schedule, and pay while nurturing great vendor relationships.
  • Review and process employee expenses; coach teams on policy and lead training for our expense platform and T&E policy.
  • Prepare and post journals; manage prepaids, fixed assets, amortization/dep schedules, and recurring accruals.
  • Execute a disciplined month-end close across multiple transaction classes; partner with FP&A on flux and variance analysis.
  • Maintain and administer accounting/expense systems: access controls, approval workflows, COA and department structure.
Build and maintain a clean vendor/contract database by extracting and organizing key business terms.
  • Coordinate corporate card coding with cardholders and ensure timely, accurate postings.
  • Collaborate with Treasury on payment timing and cash management.
  • Strengthen internal controls and documentation to support audit readiness and SOX-aligned practices.
  • Jump in on special projects and continuous-improvement initiatives that streamline processes and shave days off the close.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s or CPA preferred).
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, including solid A/P and GL exposure.
  • Fluency in GAAP and month-end close; comfortable owning schedules and reconciliations.
  • Proven Excel/Sheets skills and experience with a modern ERP and expense platform.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong process discipline and time management.
  • Clear, concise written communication; able to translate accounting concepts for non-finance partners.
  • Ethics & Values, Process Management, Time Management, Written Communication, and Action Orientation that match Gloo’s Lominger competencies.
  • A collaborative, growth-minded approach—happy to help wherever needed.

Bonus Points

  • Experience in pre-IPO or public-company environments and audit/SOX readiness.
  • Hands-on with fixed asset subledgers and capitalization policies.
  • Automation mindset (workflows, import templates, reconciliations, or close checklists).
