The Role

As an Applied Scientist at Golden Analytics, you’ll build out advanced approaches for AI-assisted data analysis. You know the rapidly-changing AI tech and techniques extremely well, have a history of experimentation to refine and validate AI approaches with data, and a strong desire to see these techniques employed in a real application. You will push the AI techniques on a rapidly-moving BI platform to the next level, and provide the solid intellectual and scientific reasoning behind the techniques we choose. You’ll build new models to be the brain of a platform centered around working for data.

You strive to learn, and encode that learning in ways today’s development systems can use. You have shipped AI-enabled solutions and have guided coding agents to help you move faster. You know the limits of this tech, but push it to help you do more.

What You'll Build

• Data collection and experimentation systems for AI models
• Models to power an “AI analyst” and capture best practices for working with data
• Natural language interfaces for analytics

Requirements

• Strong experience in AI experimentation and development, specifically around data collection and validation of the effectiveness of models
• Strong experience in application of tuning and experimentation to LLM models as well as more traditional ML methods
• Experience building new models and fine-tuning existing models for new domains.
• Exposure to full stack, cloud-based development environments - Vite, Node, TypeScript, React, Postgres, Vercel, Supabase (and more as we grow)
• Experience building with AI/ML technologies (LLMs, vector databases, coding agents, etc.)
• Product thinking and customer orientation
• Comfort with ambiguity and rapid iteration
