What You Will Do:

This Finance Co-op Student role supports the finance department with day-to-day accounting and financial analysis activities. This position provides practical experience in financial operations, attention to detail, and professional business practices within a corporate environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  •  Process and verify invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
  • Cash receipt entry and follow-up.
  • Assist with EFT and cheque preparation.
  • Cashflow tracking.
  • Complete assigned reconciliations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal departments.
  • Assist with the finance projects.

What You Will Bring

  • Enrollment in a College/University program in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • Eligible for a co-op or internship term through your institution.
  • Proficient use in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow oral and / or written instructions, as well as perform other job-related duties as may be assigned.
  • Works well independently.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience working with computerized accounting software is considered an asset.
