GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
To ensure a superior level of customer service; to supervise location in the absence of the location manager or assistant manager; to maintain the quality of merchandising and product presentation within the location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide excellent customer service
• Direct personnel in their daily tasks as assigned by the location management
• Ensure personnel stay on task
• Develop and work with employees to their potential
• Supervise in the absence of the location manager or assistant manager
• Approve returns and discounts in the absence of the location manager or assistant manager
• Ensure a clean and safe working and shopping environment
• Communicate with location management and personnel
• Ensure that signing, displays, and safety concerns are addressed and corrected
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Approve the morning counts on register tills
• Offer assistance and support to location personnel
• Perform other tasks and duties as requested by supervising manager
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• This position has supervisory responsibilities over location personnel in the absence of the location manager or assistant manager
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
• Ability to work calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
REASONING ABILITY
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
OTHER SKILLS AND/OR ATTRIBUTES
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance

The pay range for this role is:
18.87 - 23.06 USD per hour (South Medford)
