Role Overview
As a Fund Administration Associate at Gridline, you will support the day-to-day operations of our investment vehicles and play a hands-on role in delivering a high-quality experience for advisors and investors. This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who wants exposure to private markets, fund operations, and fintech-enabled administration in a fast-growing environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Support the monthly and quarterly accounting close process, including preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
- Assist in the preparation of audit and tax workpapers and coordinate requests from external service providers
- Support quarterly compliance reporting and annual review processes under the direction of the Head of Fund Administration
- Prepare portfolio schedules, capital calls, distributions, management fee calculations, and capital account activity
- Help ensure fund operations comply with governing documents, including partnership agreements and subscription materials
- Serve as a day-to-day point of coordination with external administrators, auditors, tax advisors, and legal partners
- Maintain accurate records and documentation across fund and investor activity
- Contribute to operational projects, including workflow improvements, automation initiatives, and platform enhancements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fund administration, accounting, audit, or transaction advisory, preferably with exposure to private funds
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with financial data and reconciliations
- Strong organizational and communication skills; able to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Foundational understanding of private market fund structures (VC, PE, credit, or real assets)
- Experience using accounting systems, fund administration platforms, or portfolio management tools
