Role Overview
We are seeking a senior sales executive to own and scale revenue growth within the General Partner (GP) market, including private equity, private credit, venture capital, real assets, and multi-asset managers. This leader will be responsible for defining and executing the GP go-to-market strategy, closing strategic deals, building pipeline, and scaling a high-performing sales function as the business expands upmarket and across multiple product lines.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a proven seller who understands how GPs buy, how long sales cycles work, and how to navigate complex stakeholder groups across investment, operations, finance, and leadership teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Own net-new and expansion revenue across the GP segment, with accountability for pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and bookings.
- Define and execute the GP go-to-market strategy in partnership with Marketing, Product, and Executive Leadership.
- Segment the GP market (PE, private credit, VC, multi-strategy, emerging managers, etc.) and tailor sales motions, messaging, and pricing accordingly.
- Personally lead and close complex, high-value enterprise deals with multiple stakeholders and long, consultative sales cycles.
- Drive multi-product adoption and account expansion across Gridline’s full platform offering.
- Establish pricing, packaging, and commercial frameworks aligned to customer value and long-term revenue growth.
- Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing GP sales team; set quotas, performance standards, and success metrics.
- Build scalable sales processes, playbooks, and CRM discipline to support predictable growth.
- Provide regular reporting and strategic insights to the CEO and Board on pipeline dynamics, deal velocity, and market feedback.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of B2B sales experience, including senior leadership roles
- Proven success selling into the GP / asset manager market or raising capital for private strategies
- Experience closing $100K–$1M+ ACV deals with complex stakeholders
- Background in fintech, wealthtech, asset management services, or adjacent platforms strongly preferred
- Experience scaling sales motions in growth-stage companies

- Deep understanding of GP economics, workflows, and pain points
- Strong executive presence with the ability to sell C-suite to C-suite
- Data-driven operator with sound judgment and commercial instincts
