2026 Investment Banking Analyst

GrowthPoint Technology Partners is a leading boutique investment bank focused exclusively on the technology sector, with headquarters in San Francisco and an office in London. The firm specializes in M&A and Capital Raise advisory for high-growth software and technology businesses, partnering with clients across world including North America, Europe, and Asia. 


This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced candidate or recent college graduate with strong academic credentials and 1-2 years of experience, who is passionate about technology and wants to join a high caliber team of professionals.


Analysts at GrowthPoint act as the primary day-to-day leaders for analytical support, including the preparation of various presentations and documents such as pitch decks and management presentations, financial statement analysis and model development, valuation analysis, and industry research. Analysts interact daily with senior bankers and clients. GrowthPoint fosters a collaborative and high-impact environment where initiative and teamwork are valued.


Essential Job Functions

  • Developing industry, market sector and company research and analysis
  • Preparing company presentations and other client materials
  • Developing financial and valuation models
  • Interfacing with clients on a regular basis
  • Conducting due diligence for the firm’s clients
  • Managing transactions (M&A, valuations, private placements) and supporting senior deal team

Areas of focus for the firm include all areas of technology, encompassing infrastructure and security software, enterprise software, storage, semiconductor, systems and communications technologies, mobile and gaming.


Prerequisites & Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree from a top tier university is preferred
  • Record of academic excellence with proven leadership ability
  • Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of technology and finance
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong client focus and relationship management skills
  • Familiarity with financial statements, spreadsheets, and accounting
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Resourcefulness, energy, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
