About the role

Gryphon is looking for highly motivated accounting professionals to join our growing team. The Staff Accountant position is an entry level position open to professionals looking to develop expertise in Fund Taxation. Our ideal team member is someone eager and motivated to progressively grow with us. We want people who are capable of problem solving and thinking outside of the box to achieve their goals.

What you'll do

• Prepare detailed workpapers that calculate tax adjustments for corporate and pass-through entity tax returns.
• Prepare tax allocation schedules for Schedule K-1 generation.
• Prepare Federal, State, and Local tax returns using CCH Axcess Tax software
• Assist with client onboarding
• Special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 0-2+ years experience in tax preparation, accounting, or related field - experience with Partnership Tax is a plus!
• CPA designation and/or MBA a plus - progress towards this is great! 
• Deadline oriented with ability to complete assigned tasks independently. 
• Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to interact with others at various levels 
• Working experience in Microsoft Office suite, and in particular Excel 
• Proven ability to work as part of a team
