Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Piping Mechanic to join our HVAC team specializing in commercial projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing piping systems associated with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. You will work collaboratively with other trades and ensure that all work complies with industry standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation 
• • Install, modify piping systems for HVAC units, including ductwork, chilled water, hot water, and refrigerant lines.
• Blueprint Interpretation:
• • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine piping layout and system requirements.
• System Testing:
• • Perform pressure tests and leak checks to ensure integrity and compliance with specifications.
• Collaboration:
• • Work closely with HVAC technicians, engineers, and other construction personnel to coordinate installation activities.
• Safety Compliance:
• • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Documentation:
• • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and material used.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in piping installation within commercial HVAC systems.
• Certification:
• • Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC certification, pipefitting certification) preferred.
• Skills:
• • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools related to piping work.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing and HVAC systems, as well as industry codes and regulations.
• Physical Requirements:
• • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
• Problem-Solving:
• • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
