Experience:                 Normally 5 years or more

Skill Level:                  All items listed for Level I and II plus the following:

                                    Can read/interpret drawing and equipment manuals

                                    Can use and demonstrate use of a ductular

                                    Can size gas piping per mechanical code

                                    Learning and applying mechanical code

                                    Can pass wiring symbol test 

                                    Equipment training 10 hours per year

                                    CFC Certification

Leadership Level:      Follow all GSM management guidelines

                                    Can lead a project while team leader is absent

                                    Training for GSM Journeyman Card (requirement for

                                    advancement to Mechanic)

Responsibilities at all Levels:

Maintain the overall standards of quality, performance and courtesy set forth by GSM Services and its leadership team.  Provide Comfort & Peach of Mind to our customers and co-workers.

Responsible for wearing proper uniforms and maintaining personal appearance to GSM Services standards.

Maintain attendance in accordance with GSM Services Attendance Policy

Responsible for daily time records, ensuring it is accurate and approved by leader

Comply with all GSM Services safety regulations

Maintain all tools and equipment in proper working condition

Work each day to the Sundown Rule

Additional duties as assigned

Working conditions:

·         Exposure to weather conditions, able to handle working in extreme heat/cold

·         Work may include rooftops, basements, crawlspaces, mechanical rooms,

Ceilings, attics, etc.

·         Able to set up, climb and take down ladders

·         Lifting and carrying tools, refrigerant containers, recovery machine, torches, HVAC equipment, etc. up to 75 lbs.

Skill Level:                 Great motor and listening skills

                                    Be able to climb 8 ft. ladder to highest safe height and let go with

                                    both hands

                                    Remove cordless drill from case and install screw chuck

                                    Join two pieces of pipe with #8 x ¾ screws

                                    Use tape measure and mark 6” centers for screws and install 4

                                    screws

                                    Can demonstrate hand signals for cranes

                                    Can identify split system components

                                    Can install flex to a collar and demonstrate

                                    Can install smoke detectors

Requirements:         Valid driver’s license

                                    Neatness, uniforms per company standards

                                    Punctuality, attendance and attitude must be exceptional

                                    Training to read and interpret drawings

                                    Can read and write to a high school level

                                    Must have starter tool set, plus higher end tools
