Key Responsibilities
Roofing Repair Service Team Leader (Commercial)
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor Roof Leak Technicians, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
- Conduct department orientation and ride-alongs for new hires and recently promoted technicians.
- Oversee technician training and collaborate with the Training Coordinator to meet performance goals.
- Stay current with the latest tools, technology, and methods, and implement advancements.
- Conduct regular evaluations and performance reviews in partnership with the Operations Leader.
- Manage hiring, terminations, and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) with appropriate documentation.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee tool management, tracking, and quarterly truck inspections.
- Conduct monthly Quality Assurance Visits (QAVs) and post-service job-site inspections.
- Coordinate technician scheduling, on-call rotations, and compliance.
- Provide second opinions on large-ticket repairs to ensure accuracy and support technicians.
- Track and resolve callbacks to maintain exceptional service quality.
Customer & Service Support
- Support technicians on-site at least twice a week through training and assistance.
- Conduct second opinion visits and assist with large-ticket assessments.
- Ensure quality control through jobsite visits and follow-up with customers.
- Assist with invoice resolution and parts requisitions as needed.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and use hands.
- Ability to lift/move up to 100 pounds and perform tasks requiring close vision and focus adjustment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in roofing or related fields, with expertise in roof leak repairs.
- Proven leadership and coaching abilities with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across departments effectively.
- High school level proficiency in reading and writing English.
- Physically capable of meeting job demands.
