Position Summary:
As an HVAC/Controls Service Technician, you will serve as the direct customer contact and play a crucial role in servicing products and equipment on assigned projects. Your responsibilities will include identifying, diagnosing, and repairing systems, coordinating with team members, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Represent the company as the primary customer contact, ensuring all service requests are handled promptly and professionally.
  • On-Site Coordination: Collaborate with team leaders and customers to understand project requirements, anticipate issues, gather necessary materials, and synchronize on-site work.
  • Safety & Accountability: Maintain the highest safety standards and ensure proper use and documentation of company assets.
  • Technical Proficiency: Commission, program, and troubleshoot equipment; set up graphics and communication links; and perform end-to-end testing.
  • Documentation: Complete point-to-point verification, validate sequences of operation, and finalize job closeout requirements.
  • Installation & Testing: Perform controls installation, wiring, termination, and testing.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay current on technical products and advancements in installation, operation, maintenance, and service of direct digital control systems.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Technical School or formal training preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls.
  • Proficiency with LAN networks, computer hardware, and operating systems.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld devices (e.g., Smartphone, iPad).
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past 12 months.
  • Previous experience with DDC control systems is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely operate a vehicle and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Capacity to twist, squat, reach overhead, and work on concrete surfaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely lift and move objects up to 40 lbs. (occasionally more with special approval).
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 50+ feet and accessing small or confined spaces.
  • Exposure to variable weather conditions, mechanical parts, and electrical systems.
