About the Role:


The Medical Assistant supports the provider team in delivering high-quality, efficient clinical care. This role involves both patient-facing and administrative responsibilities, ensuring a smooth patient experience and accurate clinical documentation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Rooming patients, taking vitals, and updating medical histories in the EHR
  • Preparing exam rooms and assisting providers with procedures and exams
  • Performing in-office testing (e.g., strep, flu, UA, glucose, etc.) and managing specimen collection for lab send-outs
  • Administering immunizations and medications under provider supervision
  • Coordinating prescription refills, prior authorizations, and patient communications
  • Managing medical supplies, maintaining inventory, and ensuring OSHA and infection-control compliance
  • Supporting patient education and follow-up care instructions
  • Collaborating with front-office and nursing staff to maintain clinic flow and efficiency

Preferred qualifications and attributes include:

  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in primary care, urgent care, or family medicine
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems (CureMD experience a plus)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new clinical and administrative skills
