The People Operations Specialist ensures the People function delivers a consistent, high-quality employee experience by owning the operational backbone of the team. This role serves as the primary driver for service delivery, managing inbound requests and maintaining a highly responsive support environment through efficient routing and resolution. By building scalable, automated processes and overseeing flawless lifecycle execution, the Specialist enables the People team to provide reliable, high-standard support to a growing workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the People Operations service desk to ensure rapid response times and high levels of employee satisfaction.
  • Execute the end-to-end onboarding and offboarding lifecycle to ensure complete operational readiness and a seamless transition for every employee.
  • Design and optimize automated workflows to reduce manual administrative tasks and increase process predictability.
  • Administer employee engagement and recognition programs to ensure consistent execution and positive organizational impact.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of employee data through proactive system auditing and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in IT and Finance to ensure synchronized operational workflows and service delivery.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and related programs to deliver a high-standard introduction to the company culture and resources.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of People programs, including total rewards and core employee experience initiatives.

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of professional experience within an HR or People Operations function.
  • Hands-on experience managing and maintaining an HRIS, with a preference for Rippling.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in building operational workflows and process documentation.
  • Strong project management capabilities with a focus on meeting established service level agreements.
  • Proven ability to manage complex data sets with a high degree of precision and attention to detail.
  • Experience executing high-volume employee lifecycle events, specifically onboarding and offboarding operations.
  • Professional communication skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, plain language.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Technical familiarity with identity and access management workflows.
  • Experience operating within a fast-paced Tech or SaaS environment.
  • Expertise in creating and maintaining internal knowledge bases or employee-facing documentation.

Compensation: 

Compensation at the time of offer is based on factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of Harbor Compliance’s total compensation package. Other benefits may include health benefits, flexible paid time off, parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k), and educational reimbursement. Note that the salary range and benefits apply only to U.S.-based candidates.

The pay range for this role is:

75,776 - 84,767 USD per year (US National)
