About Harrington Family Health Center
As the on-site RN Office Manager in a rural health center, you will have the unique opportunity to make a profound impact by providing leadership and guidance to our MAs, CNA’s, and Phlebotomist to ensure that HFHC provides exemplary care to patients in a rural, underserved community. You will provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of the clinical staff including but not limited to scheduling coordination, providing ongoing education and support, and assessing performance of the clinical staff.
Your responsibilities will encompass supervisory and patient care duties, including but not limited to completing yearly competency testing of the clinical staff whom you supervise, completing routine Nurse visits, tracking and ordering medical supplies, coordinating and monitoring vaccines, and answering Triage calls. This role will be crucial in promoting the Health Center values of a positive, team approach to ensure employees and patients feel valued and respected.
Key Responsibilities
· Clinical Duties
o Provides supervision to the MAs, CNAs, and Phlebotomist including but not limited to providing orientation and ongoing training, explaining job duties and expectations, and explaining appropriate procedures and guidelines to follow per HFHC policies.
o Maintains clinical staff schedules including approval of PTO requests and coordinates daily huddles to review clinical team coverage and plan for the day.
o Covers triage calls, completes routine Nurse visits including wound care and providing patient education.
o Audits the vaccinations reports on a monthly basis to ensure the EMR system is documenting and sending all required records to the State.
o Collaborates with the COO to create and disperse policies and procedures to clinical staff to ensure proper execution and understanding.

o Provides leadership in the coordination of patient-centered care across the continuum by collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to arrange appropriate services to ensure optimal care.
o Participates in multidisciplinary education and supervision to enhance clinical and supervisory knowledge to better foster collaboration.
o Participates in clinical decision-making by working collaboratively with COO to ensure best practices are being followed that align with HFHC values.
o Engages in continuing professional development to maintain up-to-date, evidence-based knowledge and competence in the nursing field.
· Organizational Development
o Contributes thoughtful insights to the development and implementation of the clinical team and the entire health center growth plans.
o Understands and follows operational policies and procedures.
o Supports healthcare team members by providing guidance and training to the clinical staff.
Education
· Successfully completed/graduated from an accredited educational program in nursing.
· Confirmation of education and training as a Registered Nurse.
· Current Registered Nurse Licensure issued by the Maine State Board of Nursing.
Experience
· Prior experience as a practicing Registered Nurse preferred, though newly graduated candidates are welcome to apply.
· Prior supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
· Strong clinical judgment and reasoning skills and the ability to educate clinical staff in these areas.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with colleagues, patients, external agencies, and the community.
· Competitive salary from $64,000 to $77,000 annually dependent upon experience.
