Our Story

Harvest began humbly as a Bible study led by a young Greg Laurie during the Jesus People movement of the late 1960s. What started in a small gathering has grown into a multi-campus ministry with locations in Riverside, Orange County, and Maui. Today, with a weekly attendance of over 9,000 people, Harvest remains committed to biblical teaching, authentic worship, and meaningful fellowship.


In 1990, Pastor Greg launched the Harvest Crusades, a large-scale evangelistic event that has reached millions with the Gospel.

Job Summary

The School Health Assistant position is a part-time (29 hours per week) position. A School Health Assistant must be a born-again Christian, committed to living a biblical lifestyle and called by God to serve at Harvest School. This entry-level position receives on-the-job training to develop knowledge of office systems and procedures in order to effectively perform daily functions, use computers and operate office equipment. A School Health Assistant serves with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes Harvest’s culture, values and mission.

Essential Functions

  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
  • Demonstrate a Christ-like and positive professional attitude toward students, parents, visitors and volunteers; treat them with respect, remain calm and objective.
  • Warmly greet students and assess their needs.
  • Administer first aid and care to injured or sick students and log/notify parents.
  • Communicate with students, faculty, parents, to document health reports and answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders and address complaints.
  • Administer medications to students and follow physician’s prescribed orders.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel, FACTS and Outlook, to create, maintain and manage data.
  • Inventory health room supplies and place orders to restock supplies.
  • Sanitize health room continuously throughout the day and before leaving.
  • Ensure all medication paperwork is submitted by parents and keep records.
  • Secure and organize all medications in the locked the rolling cart.
  • Provide information to supervisors and other team members by telephone, written form, email or in person, as directed.  Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.
  • Maintain a professional behavior in accordance with the Teacher Manual and Harvest Christian Fellowship Employee Manual, and a willingness to follow school’s policies and procedures.
  • Physical requirements, with or without accommodation, include: long periods of sitting, repetitive hand motions due to keyboard typing, answering phones, handle materials, looking at the computer screen for long periods of time.
  • Discretion – maintain confidentiality, per HEPA and FERPA laws.
  • Duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change at any time.
  • Must be 18 years old or older to apply.
  • Salary Range: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour.
