About the role

 

Are you ready to illuminate your career with a dynamic and innovative team? Heads Up Technologies and ALTO Aviation are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assembler (STG Inc.) to join our Manufacturing team. The Assembler will play a critical role in the assembly of high-quality lighting products. This role reports to the ALTO-Texas Operations Manager. Key Details

  • Work Days and Hours: Our normal working hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday. Employees can work with their supervisor to have some flexibility in their schedule.
  • Location: This is a full-time onsite position located in Addison, TX.
  • Compensation: Based on qualifications and comprehensive benefits package.
  • Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • This position is under Heads Up Technologies but will be working in the ALTO Aviation business unit and will therefore be an employee of ALTO Aviation.

What you'll do

  • Perform precise soldering of electronic components, including LEDs, resistors, capacitors, and other related components onto PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) to assemble LED lighting products.
  • Assemble and glue STG photoluminescent assemblies.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, technical drawings, and diagrams to ensure accurate placement of components.
  • Inspect and test soldered connections to verify the quality and integrity of each connection, making necessary adjustments or corrections as needed.
  • Operate equipment and tools safely and efficiently, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.
  • Collaborate with team members, including engineers and quality control personnel, to troubleshoot and resolve assembly-related issues that may arise during the production process.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any relevant production data.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

What will make you successful in this role (skills)?

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in assembling electronic components, preferably in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Familiarity with various soldering techniques, such as through-hole and surface-mount soldering.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and assembly instructions.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality.
  • Proficient in using soldering equipment, tools, and related instruments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot soldering-related issues.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation purposes.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Technical or vocational training in electronics or soldering techniques is preferred.
