Our company is seeking a full-time Collections Consultant to work on our Hospice Team. The ideal candidate for this job has a minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial and Medicaid and other Non-Medicare claims follow-up and collections with excellent time management skills. Experience with Medicaid Room & Board collections REQUIRED!
Responsibilities & Expectations:
· Perform claim collections for multiple hospice providers.
· Track trending issues such as reoccurring denials, payment variances, and payer processing delays.
· Communication with hospice providers regarding collection concerns and trends.
· Experience with multiple EMR systems.
· Experience with Medicaid and Medicaid room and board collections required.
· Review payer remittance advices and explanation of benefits to identify payment errors, denials and low reimbursement.
· Identify and correct claim errors in clearinghouse and EMR systems.
· Make phone calls and utilize various payer on-line portals for claim follow up.
Requirements:
· Must have a minimum of two years of experience in Medicaid and Medicaid Room & Board collections.
· High School Diploma Required
· Ability to utilize Microsoft Office efficiently, including Outlook (email and calendar), and Excel is a must.
· Has experience with multiple EMR systems
· Has experience with denials/rejections in a clearinghouse environment.
· Must be able to read, write, and follow directions in English
· Must have knowledge of basic math skills
· Knowledge of how to use a phone line system, copier/scanner, fax, and email is a must
· Must be able to sit for at least eight hours per day and look at a computer screen.
Compensation and Benefits
· Hourly, 40 hours per week, full-time, non-exempt position.
· Paid Time Off (PTO; starts accruing day one and is available for use following a probationary period of 60 days)
· Eleven paid holidays off per calendar year, 2 additional floating holidays annually

· Dental, vision, and dependent medical coverage offered to employees, at cost upon eligibility
