SUMMARY: The IT Systems specialist supports, monitors, and maintains the core technology systems that power both our internal operations and our customer-facing digital pharmacy platform.  They work across a Windows domain infrastructure, Linux servers, databases, networking, backups, and cloud-based systems. 

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, improving system reliability, and ensuring secure, high-availability operations in a regulated healthcare environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

• Monitor and maintain critical internal and public-facing IT systems
• Administer Windows domain environments including Active Directory and Group Policy
• Support Linux-based server infrastructure - patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting
• Assist with database administration, maintenance, and performance monitoring
• Install, configure, service, and repair hardware and software systems. 
• Design and implement backup, recovery, and disaster preparedness procedures
• Support network infrastructure including subnets, routing, VPNs, and connectivity
• Participate in technical research and infrastructure improvement projects
• Document systems, procedures, and operational standards to ensure continuity
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical teams

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong documentation and organizational abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences
• Experience supporting mission-critical systems in a professional environment
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset
• Ability to work primarily onsite in Florence, KY
