Your Mission

At Hearth we are committed to making a meaningful impact on home improvement professionals across America and every PR you merge will be in furtherance of this goal. We are driven by our customers and the features you ship will have immediate meaningful impact. This role is for strong engineers that want more than just writing “good” code and are looking to help create something with real impact, where customer feedback is taken seriously and acted on. 

You will be part of a small tactical team where delivery is key and will have responsibility over  a wide range of products and technologies. You will be expected to not only deliver quality code and a quality customer experience but also to work closely with the product team to help shape the future of the product. 

This role is for someone who loves to code, learn and grow. 

Here's what you'll do:

• Build end-to-end experiences that enable a new form of entrepreneurship empowerment for over 3 million small business owners

• Collaborate with product, design, and across engineering on the strategic vision for our product roadmap

• Contribute to a culture of technical excellence through code and design reviews

• Deliver high-quality, secure, and testable code

• Mentor other engineers and contribute to the engineering culture

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• 7+ years of technical experience

• Experience leading projects from planning phase to delivery for React/React Native application and backend systems

• Experience as a generalist, working on whatever part of the stack necessary to solve the problem at hand

• A passion for building delightful web & mobile applications or systems that support them

• Care deeply about the quality of your work while balancing delivery expectations.

• An obsessive focus on customers and iterative learning.

Location

This role will be located in NYC along with the rest of the technical Hearth team, the CEO, and other key roles in the business.
