*This Position must report ON-SITE at our Los Angeles Headquarters, with opportunity to work remotely 1-2x a week.

Seeking Experienced Accountant for a fast-paced entertainment startup!

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accountant to lead our Accounting team in an industry-leading startup. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial statements, monthly closings and supporting internal reporting and audit processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting operations, excellent analytical skills, and a proven ability to drive process improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional to contribute to the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our organization. 

 [Responsibilities]

• Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and classified.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable Management: Oversee invoicing, collections, payments, and reconciliations to support smooth cash flow operations.
• Financial Record Examination: Prepare and review financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Internal Reporting: Prepare and analyze internal financial reports, providing insights and recommendations to management for informed decision-making.
• Closing Activities: Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing tasks.
• Financial Statements: Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
• Bank Reconciliation & Cash Flow Monitoring: Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls.

[Qualifications]

• Minimum of 6-8 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proven background in the retail, Ecommerce, and/or wholesale industry.
• Strong operational experience, with the ability to streamline and improve accounting processes.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software such as Quickbook, Netsuite, etc.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
